In the journey of the Bamboo Flood Prevention project, TreeBank has had meetings to share the intersection of sustainable thinking. Today, we would like to tell you about the companionship of Austdoor Group, which waded down the slope of the riverside landslide to plant green sprouts on the Community Tree Planting Day in Nghe An.
From the orientation of "green materials" to the protection of vital riverside areas
From the announcement of the positioning transformation strategy from 2023, Austdoor Group has identified the afforestation segment according to FSC standards and the production of wood products as one of the key development orientations. It is a commitment to the origin of raw materials and responsibility for the forest ecosystem.
Because of understanding the value of each wood grain that is harvested sustainably, Austdoor has chosen to work with TreeBank to realize that commitment in Tam Quang, Nghe An by direct action: coordinating with the Leaf It To Us (LITU) project of students of Concordia International School Hanoi to donate 900 bamboo seedlings to prevent flooding. thereby promoting livelihood support for local people.

Not only a companion unit, Austdoor chooses to participate in bamboo planting activities in the field. At the Community Tree Planting Day, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Thu, a representative of Austdoor Group shared: "Austdoor is always interested in protecting the environment and minimizing the impact of natural disasters. This year, under the launch of the TreeBank project, we and LITU students send these bamboo seedlings to work with people to protect nature, save the land, keep the village and develop sustainable livelihoods."
