There are many flight journeys that do not end when the plane lands. And somewhere on the ground, from the miles shared by Vietnam Airlines, there is a green sprout that is starting to grow.

TreeBank is extremely proud to introduce Vietnam Airlines – the only airline partner of Community Tree Planting Day 2026.
In the campaign to donate 10 million miles for health and environmental activities in 2026, Vietnam Airlines continues to accompany Red TreeBank to implement afforestation projects, contributing to ecosystem restoration and spreading the value of sustainable development.
When a mile flown is more than just distance
For each passenger, one mileage is often understood as the unit of accumulation for subsequent trips. But when given, those miles have a different meaning, miles become a resource to create greater value, beyond the meaning of accumulation and upgrade.
Through the partnership with Red TreeBank, the miles donated by Vietnam Airlines customers will be transformed into reforestation activities in areas affected by climate change, erosion and biodiversity decline. From the vacant land, new sprouts are sown, opening up hope for the long-term recovery of the ecosystem.
There, each mile flown is no longer a number but becomes part of the natural cycle where people contribute what has been taken.
Sowing seeds for the future
Reforestation projects in 2026 will not only stop at greening the land area, but also aim for longer-term goals: improving the living environment, minimizing the impact of natural disasters, and contributing to the protection of livelihoods for local communities.
From the cultivated young trees to the forests that gradually revive over time, all are testaments to a persistent process, requiring the cooperation of many parties. In that journey, the companionship of Vietnam Airlines is not only to support resources, but also to bring connections, connecting passengers and members with a common goal of creating positive values for the environment.
In the context of sustainable development becoming an increasingly important standard, ESG is no longer distant concepts, but is realized by concrete, measurable and felt actions. A mile awarded may not make an immediate difference. But millions of miles flown, when combined, can make forests.
That is also how Vietnam Airlines is choosing to develop. The airline not only connects destinations, but also spreads the values of connecting people with nature. In each take-off journey, Vietnam Airlines carries the aspiration of sustainable development, for the aviation industry and for the whole land that needs to be revived with sharing and responsibility.
There are flights that end with one destination. But there are also flights that, despite landing, continue their journey in the form of a sprout, a forest or an ecosystem that is gradually being revived. And somewhere, each of those green sprouts starts with a shared mile.
