From July 1, 2025, along with the State's adjustment of a number of regulations related to finance and taxation, the TreeBank Program (under the Institute for Development Communication Studies) would like to update as follows:
CONTRIBUTIONS FROM THE COMMUNITY:
are voluntary contributions from individuals and organizations through 02 community accounts A/C 0303 and A/C 2502 of the Program.
MANAGEMENT FEE 15%:
Deducted from the total contribution of the community (excluding interest on bank deposits)
The administration fee is used to pay for activities to ensure the efficient operation of the Program, including:
• Expenses for salaries, allowances or remuneration for personnel of the Program,
• Expenses for public services ̣ (electricity, water, stationery, Internet, telecommunications charges, etc.) …) to serve the regular operation of the Program,
• Expenses for incurred business trip allowances, other operating expenses related to the Program in the course of performing tasks,
NOT ALLOWED TO SPEND: Because
this revenue source is for non-profit purposes of a social nature, contributing to the environment and sustainable development, therefore:
• Not operating for profit,
• Not dividing the assets and profits of the Program during the operation of TreeBank,
• Not using the revenues and expenditures for activities other than the original purpose of the contribution, Sponsorship ̣
TAX:
• This is a mainly non-profit activity, so it will not generate profits, so there is no CIT
• Regular expenses or expenses for buying trees, if there are input tax costs such as input VAT, they are still paid to suppliers and declared according to regulations
• If expenses related to people such as expenses for people if PIT is payable, the Institute will still deduct and declare according to regulations
In the course of operation, if any taxes are incurred, the TreeBank Program will declare and pay to the State in accordance with regulations
"The TreeBank program belongs to the Development Communication Research Institute (RED Communication) – a non-profit scientific organization, a member of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA)
From August 2021 to the end of February 2022, TreeBank was initially supported through 1 project supported by the Canadian Embassy in Hanoi.
From March 2022 to the end of August 2023, TreeBank operates 100% with funding from the RED Institute
From September 1, 2023 until now, TreeBank has deducted 12% from community sources to contribute operating costs, and from July 1, 2025, we will increase this deduction to 15%."
